A Post For Christmas

Tuesday, December 18, 2007

Christmas is coming, and we are constantly reminded of this festive occasion through the Christmas decorations you see in malls, streets, and perhaps a fanciful lighted Christmas tree in your house.

it is a custom for both the christians and non-christians to treat Christmas as a joyous occasion, where they exchange gifts and eat log cakes.

As i post my first ever post about Christmas, i would like those who carry the christian faith to ask themselves, what is Christmas ?
Perhaps we are too exposed to the mere lightings of Christmas that it often thwart the true meaning of Christmas.

It's Jesus's Birthday, and it isn't an ordinary birthday. Christmas symbolizes the great birth of Jesus, who's actions influenced us and the many people around the world.
He is the inspiration of inspirations, who suffered for us. Jesus is happy that we are enjoying ourselves in the festive joy of Christmas, but he feels neglected.
He feels neglected because we are enjoying Christmas as though He plays no part in it, as though it isn't His birthday. Is there something more we can do besides just wishing Jesus happy birthday? Shouldn't we just take some time off this holiday season and talk to Him, giving him the attention you can offer. Shouldn't we adore Him, instead of Santa Claus?

There are gift exchanges on Christmas because we want to share and experience the joy of giving. We should give some time and attention with Him, in exchange of the purified hearts He gave us through torture and death.

Lets celebrate and be happy, cuz we are fortunate to have the existence of Jesus, and of cuz God.
I've been ignorant for the past 17 years, but now i have a different and special meaning of Christmas.
Yes, that is Christmas to me.

Now i have carols to sing, and i have carols to mean from my heart.

I now i sound different from the very last time, but at least its something i have to say (:

Enjoy Christmas 2007, everyone.
